India Today has the survey and announced the top engineering colleges in India. As usual IITs are ruling the top. Find out the list here.

10) Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati
                IIT Guwahati (IITG) is an autonomous engineering and technology-oriented institute of higher education established by the Government of India, located in Guwahati,  in the state of Assam in India. It is the sixth Indian Institute of Technology established in India. All ranks except factual ranking. Otherwise it desires better place than what it is now.

09) Delhi Technological University, New Delhi
                           DTU is one of the oldest Engineering Colleges of India & first Engineering College of Delhi. It was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. The college has been under the government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.In 2009 the college was given a state university status thus changing its name to Delhi Technological University. It has the reverse case here, what we seen in case of IIT Guwahati, its other ranks are lower than current rank it has, but the factual ranking makes the trick here.

08)  Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore
                      VIT University, established under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, was founded in 1984 as a self-financing institution called the Vellore Engineering College. The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development conferred University status on Vellore Engineering College in 2001. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has accredited VIT as an A-grade Institution. VIT is also accredited by Cognizant, Ericsson and Wipro Technologies.

07) Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University
                  Banaras Hindu University is a public central university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, BHU is one of the largest residential universities in Asia, with over 20,000 students. The university's engineering institute was designated an IIT in June 2012. Banaras Hindu University is among the few finest institutions of higher learning in India.

06) Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani
                        The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, is an Indian institute of higher education and a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act. This was established in its present form in 1964.The university has 15 academic departments, and focuses primarily on undergraduate education in engineering and the sciences. BITS was the first Indian educational institution to establish a campus abroad(Dubai). BITS has campuses in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, Dubai and extension center in Bangalore.

05) Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
              IIT, Roorkee, formerly the University of Roorkee (1948-2001) and the Thomason College of Civil Engineering (1853-1948), is a public university located in Roorke, Uttarakhand, India.  It is the oldest technical institution of Asia (Established in 1847). It was converted into an IIT in 2001, thus becoming the seventh IIT to be declared.

04)  Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.
                                The IIT Madras is an autonomous public engineering institution located in Chennai, TamilNadu. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India Founded in 1959 with technical and financial assistance from the government of the former West Germany, it was the third IIT that was established by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament.

03) Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
                       The IIT Kharagpur is a public engineering, management and law institution established by the  government of India in 1951. The first of the IITs to be established. The students and alumni of IIT Kharagpur are informally referred to as KGPians. Among all IITs, IIT Kharagpur has the largest campus (2,100 acres), the most departments, and the highest student enrolment. IIT Kharagpur is known for its festivals: Spring Fest (Social and Cultural Festival), Kshitij (Techno-Management Festival) and Shaurya (sports festival).

02) Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
                      The IIT Kanpur is a public engineering institution located in Kanpur, UttarPradesh. It was established in 1959 as one of the first IITs, the institute was created with the assistance of a consortium of nine leading US research universities as part of the Kanpur Indo-American Programme (KIAP). IIT Kanpur was the first institute in India to offer Computer Science education.
