Hurun India Rich List- TOP 10 RICHEST PEOPLE IN INDIA

Huran Report on Richest people is out now(25-10-2013). Noted points in this report is
  •       141 individuals with US$300m or more, up 41 from last year.
  •       Only 40 people in this are seeing decrease in their wealth. 
  •       Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals and Real Estate people are entered in millionaires league.
  •       46 new entrants are found in this rich list, most of them are manufacturing sectors.
  •       Youngest Self made individual is Sameer Gehlaut (39) from India Bulls.
  •       Only self made women in this list is Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, with a net worth of US$ 700 million.

10. Adi Godrej ($6.8 Billions) (₹41820 Cr)
          Adi Godrej (71 years) is from Godrej Group of Companies. He is here because of rising value of 3500 acres estate in suburban Mumbai. 
 
09. Pallonji Mistry ($7.6 Billions) (₹46740 Cr)
         Pallonji Mistry (84) is leading a construction empire that operates from across india , west asia and africa. He along with his sons also controls stake in Tata Sons.
 
08. Kumar Mangalam Birla ($7.7 Billions) (₹47355 Cr)
         Kumar Mangalam Birla (46), is chairman of Aditya Birla Groups. He is here because of rise in Aditya Birla Nuvo and Ultra Tech cements share prices.
 
07. Gautam Adani ($8.2 Billions) (₹50430 Cr)
        Gautam Adani(51), is chairman of Adani Group. He is self made billionaire. Adani Group  is a globally integrated infrastructure player with businesses spanning coal trading, coal mining, oil & gas exploration, ports, multi-modal logistics, power generation & transmission and gas distribution.  
06. Sunil Mittal ($8.8 Billions) (₹54120 Cr)
        Sunil Mittal(56), is a telecom mogul. He is leading Bharti Enterprises, the largest GSM-based mobile phone service provider in India. His income rise is because of rise in stock price of Bharathi Airtel.

05. Savitri Jindal ($9.5 Billions) (₹58425 Cr)
        Savitri Jindal (62), is the non-executive chairperson of O P Jindal Group. She is the only lady in the TOP 10 list.
04. Shashi and Ravi Ruia ($10.2 Billions) (₹62730 Cr)
         Shashi and Ravi ruia are the chair persons of ESSAR group of industries. The Essar Group is a multinational conglomerate and a leading player in the sectors of steel, oil and gas, power, communications, shipping, ports and logistics, projects and minerals.
03. Azim PremJi ($13 Billions) (₹79950 Cr)
        Azim Hashim Premji (68), who owns 57% of Wipro, is not only the richest South Indian, but also the fourth richest Indian with an asset of 13 billion dollars. 
02. LakShmi Mittal ($19.2 Billions) (₹118080 Cr)
       He is the chairman and CEO of Arcelor Mittal, the world’s largest steelmaking company. Mittal owns 41 percent of ArcelorMittal shares. He sees decrease in his wealth but able to stay in 2nd position.

01. Mukesh Ambani ($22.6 Billions) (₹138990 Cr)
       Mukesh Ambani is the Chairman, Managing Director and the largest shareholder of Reliance Industries, India`s largest private sector enterprise and a Fortune 500 company. His personal stake in Reliance Industries is 48%. His wealth also has seen decrease in this year, but he retain at the top with a good margin.
